About our editing We take special pride in our editing process at Hollygood Films
in order to provide you with the most entertaining viewing experience
in the clean edited film industry. Using the latest in digital editing
techniques, we are able to remove nudity and sexual situations,
offensive language and graphic violence without degrading the artistic
content or story continuity. It’s a difference you’ll
appreciate compared to other types of edited films that focus only
on removing or covering unwanted scenes or features.
Our goal is to make the films contained in our library equal to
a PG rating, which means cleaning our films beyond the PG-13 standard
for network TV.
Frequently asked questions
Is it legal to edit films and rent and/or sell them?
Yes it is, as long as you keep a 1:1 ratio of original DVDs
to edited DVDs for each title available in your rental library,
which we do at Hollygood Films. In the case of our edited DVDs for
sale, we provide our members with an edited version as well as the
original version of the DVD, but we take the extra step of disabling
the original copy to protect our members from any objectionable
content.
How long will I have to wait for my movies?
Hollygood DVDs and video games are delivered through the
US Postal Service via First Class Mail. The average time it takes
to receive your items is 3-5 days business days.
If your order has not arrived after more than 6 days, please contact us.
What if you don’t have a DVD title I want to see?
We try to keep the Hollygood DVD library full of the most
popular Hollywood releases, edited to our high Hollygood standards.
If you can’t find a title using one of our search methods,
including our alphabetical search, you can request that we carry
it by clicking here.
Do Hollygood DVDs play in any DVD player?
Hollygood Films edited DVDs should play in the majority of
DVD players in use today, including the players installed in your
desktop PC or laptop computer. However, because our edited films
are “burned” onto the discs and not manufactured into
them as the original films are, some DVD players may skip, stop
or simply just not play Hollygood DVDs. If this is the case and
you don’t want to upgrade to a newer DVD player, simply return
your Hollygood DVDs.
What if my Hollygood DVD or video game arrives damaged or
just won’t play right?
If a Hollygood DVD or video game arrives and is visibly damaged
or if it skips and freezes or just wont play, try the Hollygood
online troubleshooting utility or report the problem
to us.
